THIS IS A FAKE NAME, it’s just plain gabbro, a form of basalt. Get real and stop trying to rip off people.
Hi Mimi,
Indigo refers to the blue or indigo color that is often found in Gabbro. An igneous rock, it is high in iron, magnesium, and quartz. Made on the ocean floor, these different elements are compressed/mashed together to give this stone its mottled finish. The most abundant rock in the deep oceanic crust, this stone is widely used in different industries, including as a base rock to form foundations and for countertops in kitchens.
While Gabbro is related to basalt, it is not basalt.

Hello Mimi
We are in an interesting time when more and more rocks are being brought forth from the earth and are being appreciated for their various values. Each rock is significant, just like each plant, tree, animal and human. One of the interesting additions that is occurring today is that the geological name for a stone is sometimes being replaced, in common parlance, with a name that is more descriptive of its energetic values. These names sometimes exist parallel to the geological name and sometimes they replace the name when the person using it is from a different discipline. This is true for many fields, such as common names for medicines v the scientific.
As providers of energy products, Crystal Life strives to help people find the item they are looking for. It is like an index or a catalog. Mystic Merlinite is the name given to this stone by Robert Simmons of Heaven and Earth; a highly intuitive individual, he and his colleagues find the stone represents the Merlin energy, and this new appreciation of the values of this stone should be honored as should all honorable discoveries.
The most important thing, in today’s contentious society, is for people to be polite to each other in discussions. Such politeness is a basic value of a civilized society. Going forward, we will not publish any comments where a genuine interest in politely discussing matters is not observed. Atala
