As we enter the Season of Giving, many wish that the good will and joy that exists during the season may extend and last year round. How much sweeter life for everyone would be if that joy was sustained!
Each of us make up the whole of gratitude. For each individual that is thankful and appreciative of the big and small things in their life, the more gratitude, happiness and delight exist the world.
How do we increase our gratitude? How can we become so appreciative of the little things, of all things, that we inspire others and attract similar energies into our lives? What examples do others lend by living their gratitude that you or I could learn from?
Someone who has blessed my life with their presence, love and energy makes an effort to take a walk of gratitude daily. They walk in a place that they find welcoming, and as they appreciate the beauty around them, they also give thanks for different things in their life. Whether it be a large change, or something small, they give thanks in a genuine way for all that is in their life. Even the challenges given to them are appreciated for the lessons they bring into their life.
Another way to live in gratitude is to sit quietly in prayer, and consciously express thanks. This is much the same as walking in gratitude, but you have taken the exercise inside to a spot that is sacred for you. It can be done in a church, or a favorite spot in your yard, or in your home.
As you continue to find things to be thankful for daily, you will begin to see how blessed your life truly is, how much there is to be thankful for, and gratitude will flow naturally through your energy. Once you have incorporated this into your essence of being, you will attract other like minded individuals. We may not be able to change the world, but we can be the change we would like to see in the world.
Do you have any exercises in thankfulness and gratitude that you would like to share? Please feel free to comment! We love to hear the different practices of our friends!
