Mini Vanadinite Specimens
These beautiful Mini Vanadinite Specimens bring with them a powerful presence and dazzling appearance despite their size. These specimens are, in our opinion, more practical for frequent metaphysical use as they consist of a small group of tabular vanadinite crystals with no brittle base stone making them somewhat strong. Each of these Mini Vanadinite Specimens are either single larger tabular crystals or a small grouping of them with a vivid red color. They average about 1/2″ in size.
Handle this stone with caution, Vanadinite is a mineral that is found within Lead bearing mineral deposits and has the potential to expose one to this metal. Lead is a Toxic Metal that is known to be harmful if misused. Wash your hands after use. Do not make elixir from this stone or any other potentially hazardous minerals. Keep it away from children.
Vanadinite, associated with Fire and Earth, is a stone that stimulates energies at many levels. It activates the lower Chakras brining enhanced focus, determination, and will power. It’s said to stimulate ones sexual and creative expression while helping one preserve there energy and maintain endurance. one unique aspect of this crystal is its strong correlation to higher energies. By pairing the endurance and focus this stone brings with its ability to activate the third eye it can bee tremendously supportive of deep mediation and assists in brining the knowledge gained through meditation back into practice on earth.
Historical Folklore
Wulfenite was first described in 1801 in Mexico by the Spanish mineralogist Andrés Manuel del Río. He initially called the stone “brown lead” and claimed that it contained a new element which he called “Pancromium” He later abandoned his idea of the new element as he believed that what he found was actually Chromium, an element that had previously been known.
Nearly thirty years later a Swedish chemist named Nils Gabriel Sefström discovered that the mineral did in fact contain a new element, Vanadium, and the “Brown Lead” eventually took on the name Vanadinite.
Chakra Association
Vanadinite has a strong ability to activate the Solar plexus, Sacral, and Root Chakras and some also consider it to be a stone that resonates with Third Eye Chakra
Astrological Association
Often associated with Virgo, Vanadinite encourages clear thought and increased determination traits especially supportive to the Virgos often busy mind that struggles to keep up with all of life’s loose ends.
Geology
Vanadinite is a phosphate mineral belonging to the apatite group of gemstones. It is very unique as it only forms through the chemical alteration of pre-existing material instead of precipitating out of mineral rich fluid. Vanadinite forms through the oxidation of lead bearing materials similar to the way rust develops through the oxidation of iron bearing materials. Originally discovered in Mexico, Vanadinite has since been sourced in other locations that have very dry and arid climates. The crystals are frequently found either on or alongside other minerals that may be involved in the initial formation itself. These typically include Galena, Barite, and Wulfenite.
Mini Vanadinite Specimen Care
All gemstones are unique and special. Variation in color and inclusions are natural and to be expected. We have selected all of our stones for their high vibration and quality. Bathe in full moonlight regularly to energize crystals. Cleanse regularly by placing your Mini Vanadinite Specimen on a piece of selenite or by moving through the smoke of sage.
