These pieces of Large Tumbled Unakite have a beautiful bright coloration and have been tumbled to a very smooth glossy finish. they vary slightly in size with most measuring between 1″ and 1.25″ in length.

Historical Folklore

The stone gets its name from the Unaka Mountain Range in the North Carolina, where it was first recorded to be found.

Since its discovery, Unakite has been most widely used to create jewelry.

This stone is primarily associated with the heart and sacral chakra. It can also be used to activate the third eye chakra.

This stone is associated with Scorpio.

Geology

Unakite is a metamorphic stone considered to be a granitoid, first discovered in a mountainous region along the east cost of the United States. It came to be through the dramatic stresses of shifting plate tectonics and glacial drift imposed on the land throughout deep time. It is an altered form of Granite that gets it unique coloration from the combination of minerals which make it up. The green colored areas are composed mainly of green Epidote with the pink areas being a form of Feldspar along with varying amounts of Clear Quartz.

Health Folklore

Unakite is said to help with symptoms of menopause and fluctuating hormones. It is also believed to help heal sexual trauma.
