Aquamarine

In ancient times Aquamarine was carried as a talisman by sailors to protect against drowning. It was also believed to protect against forces of darkness and gain favor from spirits of light.

Aquamarine is believed to assist with sore throats, swollen glands, and thyroid problems. Strengthens the bodies cleansing organs, the eyes, jaw, teeth, and stomach.  Is believed to harmonize the pituitary and thyroid.

Geology

A member of the beryl family, aquamarine is found primarily in deposits known as granitic pegmatites. The forming of aquamarine is dependent on iron and beryl. When the beryl is forming, the presence of iron helps with the crystallization process and will result in aquamarine.
