Small Raw Orange Calcite
These pieces of Small Raw Orange Calcite have a very opaque tangerine color to them with some banding and variation. They are raw, unpolished pieces with a natural waxy sheen and measure between 1″ and 2″ in length.
Orange Calcite is both highly energizing and cleansing by nature. It helps with balancing emotions by soothing fear and symptoms of depression. Because it is often close in color to Yellow Calcite, we have used the two titles interchangeably here at Crystal Life.

Geology
Calcite is a carbonate mineral, of which it is the most stable form. Other Calcium Carbonate minerals include common stones such as Dolomite and Aragonite along with many others. Calcite is unique in that it can form in over a thousand different crystal habits leading to an overwhelmingly divers group of shapes this mineral can take on. Some of the most notable forms include Stalactitical calcite formed through the slow accumulation of carbonate rich waters seeping through the ceilings of caves and caverns. Rhombohedral and Prismatic calcites create unique optical effects with their angular corners and flat faces, Scalenohedral calcite, is known as dogtooth calcite for its distinct resemblance to canine incisor teeth.
Calcite has a global distribution with some of the largest sources being the “Calcite Quarry” in Michigan which is currently the largest global producer. Chihuahua Mexico is known for the very fine specimens found in the region. Iceland is the source of the unique variety of calcite known as Iceland Spar.
Small Raw Orange Calcite Care
All gemstones are unique and special. Variation in color and inclusions are natural and to be expected. We have selected all of our stones for their high vibration and quality. Bathe in full moonlight regularly to energize crystals. Cleanse regularly by placing your Small Raw Orange Calcite on a piece of selenite or by moving through the smoke of sage. These stones should not be exposed to excessive amounts of water as Calcite is a carbonate mineral and will slowly dissolve in water.
