Dark Amber

Dark Amber is 1 1/2″ – 2″ in length.

Amber is a soft, gentle, kind “stone” that is technically fossilized tree resin. Amber pendants help you to transmute negative into positive energy, with the regenerative process, and fertility. It helps one remove self-imposed obstacles, to change and move forward positively. 

This fossilized resin helps you to understand issues more clearly and assume greater responsibility for your life. it softens energy as it comes into its space and has an ancient wisdom to it. Among the well-known varieties are Baltic amber, which is highly prized with a sharpness to its energy; Madagascar amber has a softer energy, South American softer still. It is excellent for bringing about good luck.

Historical Folklore

Ancients believed that the smoke of amber drove away evil spirits and enchantments. 

Amber was ground into a powder and mixed with honey or oil to be used as a natural antibiotic in Europe, Egypt, and Arabia. This antibiotic was believed to heal wounds and regenerate tissue. 

Geology

Amber is formed as a result of the fossilization of resin that that takes up to 30 – 90 million of years.  This fossilization involves a progressive oxidation and polymerization of the original organic compounds, oxygenated hydrocarbons. The majority of amber is found within Cretaceous and Tertiary sedimentary rocks. It can be found worldwide.

Chakra Association

Amber is associated with the solar plexus chakra. It is sometimes associated with the throat chakra.

Care

You can place this fossil in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth over night.

Astrological Association

Amber is associated with Aquarius and Leo.

Health Folklore

Amber is thought to help balance the brain and the nervous system. It is said to help draw illnesses out of the body.
