Here are Fairy Tale Magic art photographs sent to us by Norwegian photographer Willy K. Pedersen. These images have as their base an image in nature that Willy took into the computer and then worked with as a digital artist, turning it into a nature-based art piece. The end result is a piece of Fairy Tale Magic – a life form brimming full of life force energy, yet fictional – or is it?
While the purpose of our various Crystal Life contests is to present actual portraits of real other dimensional beings, Willy’s work brings up another question. I once had a yoga teacher who stated that anything the human mind can imagine is a reality in another world. That is, we are either tapping into another world – or we ourselves just created another world, or reality.
So what is it Willy has achieved in his vibrant pieces? A piece of art – or a piece or art and a glimpse into some hidden world?
Willy himself explains how he develops these images:
“I get a feel for a motive when I’m out in nature and I compose it in camera and bring it to life on my Mac. It’s as if it comes alive when I’m working on it on my Mac. It’s art yes, but it’s also life.”
Willy has published a book of his art work, called Nature Beings: The Magic of Nature, available on Amazon.com and on his website, www.eventyrbilder.no His website also displays other types of his nature photography – which are exquisite themselves.
Here is a brief auto-biographical summary of his work, that Willy sent to us:
“Norwegian photographer Willy K. Pedersen has worked in alternative medicine and meditation since he was 16 years old. He is also trained in Qigong, Regression Therapy and Shamanism. In his daily work, Willy is helping patients with intellectual disabilities. Willy has been photographing nature since his early teens and developed his expression and technique with world-renowned photographer Morten Krogvold. In the artist’s own words – nature can be seen as a living creature, where everything is linked together, like a big spider web. The slightest move we make creates ripples across the net. If we get in touch with nature, and open ourselves up, we will experience its Magic.”
He tells us the base photographs in these works were taken in Norway, Denmark, Scotland and China.
