The New Year is always a time to set new intentions & resolve to change habits and things in our lives.  We all have different rituals or ways that we do this.  Most of the time it involves making the decision to change.  I would like to share with you what I do to ring in the New Year to set myself up for success.

On New Year’s Eve, I sit with my gathered supplies of magazines, computer, markers and white poster board.  I use these items to make a vision board.  A vision board is something you put in a place that you will see every day.  It is a dedicated space to put the images of the things you want in your life.

While I make the board, I ask the question “what would it take?”  to help me refocus my mindset and open up to the possibilities of seeing the answer arrive.  For example if I wanted a new house, I would say, “what would it take to move into a new house this year?”  I ask this thirty times and I end by saying, “anything standing in the way of that I clear, uncreate, delete and destroy in all directions of time and space”.  These two very powerful questions and statements help you zero-in on what you truly desire.  Going forward, I do this every day until I receive what I am asking about.

Along with making a vision board, I clear my home with sage and sound.  After I clear my home I make myself a grid to help with the motivation to keep taking the actions that help me obtain my goals.  Some good stones for a New Year’s grid are Aventurine (new growth), Citrine (fortune), Rose Quartz (love), Chrysocolla (speed up metabolism and muscle recovery), and Amethyst (stress relief). Overall, which stones you choose for your grid is personal to you and what you are looking to achieve.

When I wake up on New Year’s day I meditate and declare my gratitude for life and for that which I am asking.  An example is, “Thank you so much for my wonderful relationship with a caring man.” Also, on New Year’s Day, I may write down the action steps to take towards obtaining my goals.

Please share below what rituals or practices you do for the New Year!
