Historical Folklore

Bismuth is number 83 on the Periodic Table of Elements. It was discovered to be a separate, post-transistion metal from lead by chemists in the 1700s.

Its name comes from the German word weissmuth, meaning “white substance.”

Geology

Bismuth comes from Russia and Germany. It is laboratory grown. Some naturally occurring groupings of bismuth have been found underground. It is often white with other highlight colors, such as pink or blue.

Chakra Association

Bismuth is associated with the crown, base, soul star, stellar gateway, and gaia gateway chakras.

Care                                      

You can place bismuth in full moon moonlight to energize. It can also be moved through sage smoke or incense, placed in rice, or buried in the earth over night. Bismuth should be kept away from water.

Astrological Association

This stone is associated with Aquarius.

Health Folklore

Bismuth is thought to help reduce fever. It can also aid the functions of the stomach, intestines, and muscles, as well as restore cellular structure.
