Large Zeolite Specimens
These Large Zeolite Specimens are beautiful, natural and of a high grade. They all have their own unique features whether it be from faint coloration difference or the shape and size of the crystals that make up each specimen. These mixed Zeolite Specimens are predominantly clear to white with some having stilbite crystals, a peach colored variety of zeolite, growing within the cluster and others having a transparent blue-green coloration. All of these specimens are between 3″ and 3.75″ in length.

Zeolite is the name of a fairly large family of Aluminosilicate minerals found worldwide. What sets true Zeolites apart from others aluminosilicate minerals is the way these crystals are “Hydrated” during formation. The presence of negatively charged centers in the minerals Aluminum- Silicate framework means that water is drawn into the crystal structure during formation yet because of the highly porous nature of the crystals, this water is also free to leave the stone. Because of this zeolites are used commercially as an absorption medium. It is often colorless, but can also be found in numerous shades that vary depending the stones purity.
