Raccoons are nocturnal mammals commonly associated with art of disguise and thievery. Despite this, they are very curious and social creatures. They often live near other raccoons, going on nighttime “heists” in search of food. Many have noted that these animals “wash” objects in water. In reality, this allows them to more easily feel texture. People with this totem animal often connect with this need for discovery.
The raccoon is primarily associated with its furry “mask”. Raccoon totem people may consider reflecting on the positives and negatives in the transformative nature of their totem animal. What personalities are you putting forward each day? Are there parts of yourself that you have been covering up? This animal totem provides insight into oneself and others but calls for further inward questioning.
If you resonate with the Raccoon or have it as your animal totem, see below for stones whose energy can help you connect on a deeper level.
