This is a merkabah grid, designed by Tammy and myself, to help ease this process of change and growth.

Here’s what you’ll need:

(1) Malachite

(6) Unakite

(6) Yellow Calcite

Malachite is the center piece for this layout. Malachite works to ground spiritual energy to the earth. When we are experiencing stress, malachite absorbs negativity while it harmonizes and balances. Also an aid in transformation, it assists in being receptive to insight from your subconscious. From there it is easier to see what is blocking your spiritual growth by getting to the core of the problem.

A Merkabah is an energy field which can be two dimensionally displayed by intersecting two opposite facing equilateral triangles (3-sided pyramids if you are working on three dimensions). A Merkabah is the complete balance of duality, light and dark. There are two complete Merkabahs being utilized as the structure of this grid. The inner-most composed of unakite, while the outer being yellow calcite.

Unakite offers a calm and gentle energy, which is crucial to maintain in your energy field at this time. Much like the malachite in this case, unakite integrates light into the field revealing insights regarding said blockages. It helps to uncover the root cause of any dis-ease and allows it to surface in order for the user to create change and transformation in their life.

Yellow Calcite clears the personal field as well as the environment with the purity and power of our sun. Growth and development are accelerated when using this stone. Using yellow calcite alleviates emotional stress, and connects the emotions with the intellect. When this is achieved, a greater sense of emotional intelligence is attainable. The light in this crystal helps to overcome setbacks, which is what many of us may perceive to be happening with these life changes. Then we may understand that set backs are really stepping stones for another reality.

The entire earth is currently experiencing these shifts, so I highly suggest the use of this grid in efforts to better the ability to flow in these times of great change. While a grid is ideal because it will work with an entire space, it would be advisable to at least carry this three-stone combination in your pocket or medicine bag. Most of all, remember that life is beautiful. Even the bumpy parts serve a beautiful divine purpose.

Recently, I have contemplated canceling the vision quest because of other issues which have come about. As I connect to the Divine Feminine, the Mother energy, or Earth Mother, if you would, through the wheel, I have been surprised at the freedom and wisdom that has come through for me. Many people who know me probably hesitate to speak of crystals and gemstones because they know it opens a floodgate. I love to talk about my mineral relatives. The same effect occurs when the Mother or Goddess energy comes up.

Many times, as I have worked with this energy, I have been surprised with the ease in which things occur. Now that I seem more focused in this area, that situation recurs more frequently. I have come to realize that the vision quest may not be necessary as it has already brought me closer to the energy of the Divine Feminine, not having to figure out which Goddess to connect to as the Feminine energy is one.

Recently I purchased two books, then immediately began questioning why (they were Goddess books). Looking at the gauges on my cars’ dash, I was surprised to see that the gas gauge read empty. I thought that I had more than that, but not taking any chances I turned into a gas station and stopped at the only pump available. Before going in to pay for a tank of gas, I looked for the pump number. It was number 13. Now 13 is the number associated with Goddess, so I immediately realized I was supposed to get these books.

There are perhaps many ways to connect with the feminine energies. Here are a couple.

  a. Define a circle at least six feet in diameter. Also pinpoint the exact center of this circle.

     b. Stand at the center facing east (or any direction you choose). Center and focus on being in this space.

     c. Begin walking in a spiral path until you reach the edge of the six foot circle. What energies have you felt as you traversed this pathway? What are you feeling now that you are at the edge of this circle?

     d. Move to the directions east, south, west, north. Ask questions at each direction. What is the response of Goddess?

     e. Turn back to the center and acknowledge and thank Goddess for her response.

2. You may use a Medicine Wheel, Spirit Circle, or many other types of merkabic fields to connect.

This energy has been called by many names such as Gaia, Mother Nature, the Divine Feminine, and Goddess Energy. We will look at it in the light of Mother Nature. Many (almost all) ancient peoples acknowledged the presence of this feminine mother energy within their societies. Statuettes have been found 30 to 100,000 years old at many sites. Until about 7 to 10 thousand years ago, the feminine mother energy was prevalent in all areas of the lives of people. The last official Goddess Temple closed in 500 AD. This was the temple of Isis which functioned for a thousand years. However one chooses to define this feminine energy, it has been making a comeback in the world today.

More people today are feeling the need for community and compassion as we band together with common goals. Especially as it relates to nature and the Earths eco system. As we approach this energy as Goddess or Mother Nature, we are developing a more compassionate concern not only for family and friends, but also for all areas of opposition. A strong connection to the Earth and its environment prevails against pollution, global warming, and other major issues.

Many are able to converse with her on many levels. Our connections to the Elemental Kingdoms are opening up as communication on all levels of consciousness are expanding. We are conversing with the Devas, Fairies, Mineral, and Vegetable Kingdoms as well.

This energy of the Goddess also brings us to a greater understanding of our female companions. The ancients again honored the Divine Feminine, “The female matriarchy as the provider of abundance on all levels. Whether it was food in all of its levels, nourishment and nourishing or guidance”. There was a time that our female companions were honored and respected. Today we “Men” on many levels are realizing women as equals and respecting them. Men are also connecting to their feminine side without fear of being complete. We fully realize the masculine and feminine as equal and the necessity of both in active use for balance.

This formation consists of only four different stone types and a 3 1/2 Cubit Slim Spurling Ring.

The stones are all placed on the points of two superimposed merkabahs, each composed of like stones. Lets begin with the calming triad. The outer most of the three is Larimar. It brings peace and tranquility which allows for a deep meditative state. Now is the time to use earth goddess stones like larimar, as they can bring guidance in times of stress and change.

The second and center stone in the triad is Howlite. In preparing the mind for wisdom and insight, Howlite is also a very useful stone for meditation. It is extremely calming and soothing for the emotions, thus it offers us an opportunity to take a step back from the chaos. From that point on, it is much easier to center and function at our highest capacities.

The third and innermost stone of this merkabah is Blue Calcite. The calcite family has quite a selection of colors, each with unique properties. These color based properties are in addition to the structural based properties of calcite. These “generic” qualities cleanse the physical and subtle bodies and help to restore lost hope and motivation. Calcite also removes stress and replaces it with serenity. Blue calcite gently soothes nerves and anxieties. It facilitates relaxation and recuperation while absorbing, transmuting, and returning energy to the user.

At each point of the second complete merkabah is a piece of Yellow Calcite. Balancing and clearing discordant energies with the power of the sun, yellow calcite brings joy and cheerfulness into the field. It is uplifting, and induces a deep relaxing meditation. Stepping into this energy is like stepping into the light of the Sun.

I recommend making this grid large enough to stand or sit in. It would, of course, still be beneficial in a smaller size on your desk or under your chair. In these situations I would not use a Ring to circle to grid. If you are creating a larger scale grid, when not in use, remember to remove the Slim Spurling ring in order to allow the energies to flow as they wish. When in use, this ring will clear and charge everything cylindrically contained within it.

Let us choose ten Animals or Insects and their qualities to connect with. Of course, you may also choose your own.

1. Eagle – bigger picture, healing, illumination

2. Bear – intuition, personal rhythm, dream, healing

3. Dolphin – breathing, sound, water (emotion, etc.)

4. Butterfly – transformation, joy, change

5. Squirrel – activity, preparedness, sociability

6. Turtle – motherhood (nurturing), longevity, awakening to opportunity

7. Hawk – vision, gaurdianship, observe closely, opportunity

8. Frog – initiation, new beginings, solitary, rest

9. Dog – protection, loyalty, faithfulness

10. Cougar – coming into your own power, stealth, nightvision

We have ten animals and each of their qualities. Now let’s add some gemstones to the mix.

1. Picture Jasper - bigger picture

3. Turquoise – master healer

4. Moonstone – intuition, illumination

5. Apophylite – breathing, connecting physical and spiritual, akashic record

6. Crysanthamum Stone – joy, creativity, nature

8. Carnelian - energy, stability

9. Moss Agate - sociability

10. Chrysocolla - socialbilty

11. Aventurine – new beginings

12. Dalmation Stone - protection, faithfulness

13. Chrysoprase - empowerment

We now have the tools to use with the pendulum.

Take a couple deep breaths and focus clearly on a question. Ex: I really need to set up boundaries, which animal will assist me in that? Hold the pendulum over the list of animals and move down until you get a response. The Eagle has volunteered to assist clearly with a bigger picture. This will allow me to access what boundaries I need to take.

Now let’s look at the list of gemstones. As in the previous step, let’s see if there are one or more stones who volunteer. Move down this list to get your yes or no response. Picture jasper has volunteered the energy of the bigger picture while amethyst has offered the energy of inner wisdom.

Thank the animals and the stones. You will need to work with the stone until there is clarity around your question. My task is to look at all the areas I am involved in and decide which ones need to be active and which ones need to be set aside for now. There are too many irons in the fire, which ones do I need to take out and let cool off.

The stones are laid in the formation of a Merkabah within a Merkabah. This creates a solid, and balanced energy flow. Placed around the stones is a Slim Spurling Ring, in order to keep the space clear and energized.

The Aragonite serves as a base for the upward pointing triangle of the outer Merkabah. It encourages discipline and concentration while helping you to ground and center. At the point of this triangle stands Lapis Lazuli. This is one of the great Third Eye Chakra stones. It releases stress from your field which allows you to obtain a sense of serenity. This combined with its quality to bring objectivity and deep self-knowledge is the key to spiritual attainment. The downward facing triangle of the outer Merkabah is composed of Copper and Quartz. Copper stimulates initiative and philosophical energy. As well as Clear Quartz, Copper is exceptionally conducive of present energies and amplifies them. In this arrangement, the Quartz Points filter out distractions and unblock any energies that may need to be moved.

The inner Merkabah is simply made of Magnesite, which brings a deep peace in meditation, harmonizes the hemispheres of the brain, and calms stress.

The final addition to this grid is a Clear Quartz, four-sided pyramid. Pyramids are used to enhance and focus energy. Here, it is being utilized to send the energies of the layout up into the seat of the user.

All of these pieces create a peaceful atmosphere where it is more easily possible not only to push our self-imposed limits, but to be able to go far beyond them.

The evidence suggests that there are many paths of life. The moment we arrive through the process of birth, we have begun a long journey down these pathways before us.

We are influenced by every action or inaction taken on our journey. In fact, everyone we come in contact with will influence where we are on life’s path. The journey is influenced not only by the emotional states of the moment, but by the commands/demands set upon us by friends, family, culture, and society overall.

Some will be timid, fearful, withdrawn, while others will be forceful, overbearing, and extremely demanding about where we are on the Life’s Path.

It has been suggested that if one stays focused and looks straight ahead, walking the line down the middle, he will be okay. They say by doing this, you will miss all the pitfalls that will arise on the highway, that indeed you will not be influenced by the side roads or the other people along the sides.

I would suggest that this seemingly safe road is not safe at all. Yes, you are assured of reaching the end, but at what cost to your health or psyche. If we look at a map or map quest to find how to get from here to there, it often is not a straight path. We are told once we are on the street in front of your house to go one block, turn left, go 500 feet, turn right, then go 2 miles, etc., until you reach your destination. These directions are often circuitous, and miles out of the way, and so is the straight path of life we find ourselves on. Many times along the way, we are frustrated, angered, not happy with where we are or where we are going. Many times the complaint may be I have followed the rules, followed the path as instructed, and I am still lost, and not happy where I am in life.

Let me suggest a path for you, and you alone. There will be many other people on it, all going in the same direction, perhaps even to the same place as you. At times you may stop and chat, or even travel together for a while, but it is still your path and true. You will arrive at its end and find peace and satisfaction having done so.

What is this path that I am suggesting. It is the same path you began at birth, with all the same pitfalls and obstructions, but it is a true path. We are calling it the Path of the Heart. The map, whether a fold out or map quest, guide or GPS, is controlled by the Heart, your Heart. “Wait a minute you, say what you are talking about, you’re not making any sense.”

What I am saying is trust the heart, physically as well as spiritually. It is at your center, your core self. It can and will be your Heart Compass. The Heart Center or Heart Mind will not lead you astray. You are the only one on that road, even if it is crowded and people are seemingly pushing you off track or onto a side road. If you are following your heart’s desires, hopes, and dreams and are faithful to them, you are following the path of the Heart.

This, by no means, suggests that life will be easy. What is does mean is that with all the distractions, missteps, faulty or other guidance, you will always remain true to yourself. Many lessons will be learned even if they are hard ones. You will have many bruises, cuts, or breaks along the way, but you will know “I did it my way, I was true to myself, and I did no harm to others, in fact, I honored and respected them. We traveled together on our separate and equal paths.”

On April 2, 2012, I turned sixty-two. It has been a long journey, and far from over. The path has not always been pleasant. This is not because Life has gotten in the way, nor because many things were unpleasant and hard. Invariably, it was the path I chose, many times on a side road, but what I have learned has been worth those sixty-two years. You see, many times unknowingly, I have followed my heart. I know many choices have not been perfect and I yet may stray, but I am following my Heart’s Path, my heart’s desire, and I know that the day will come when I have reached the end of that road, or should I say the intersection to yet another Heart’s path.

May you find your Heart’s path and may your journey be equally fantastic as mine is continuing to be. And yes, I will probably cross paths with you along the way.

For this grid, the intention was to create a tool that could aid in balancing the body’s various systems. The endocrine and lymphatic systems both run throughout the human body either releasing hormones or recycling blood plasma. The duties of these systems are far more complex than this synopsis. However, for the purpose of this blog, it is most important to understand that they play a large role in regulating your daily life.

With a specific physical target, I find it most appropriate to reference a crystal guide like “Crystal Prescriptions” by Judy Hall. The stones listed for the endocrine system that were decided to be most applicable were Fire Agate, Amber, Amethyst, Citrine, Yellow Jasper, Peridot, and Tourmaline. Tourmaline is also listed for the lymphatic system along with Moss Agate, and Blue Chalcedony. There are other appropriate stones, however these are the ones that intuitively “stuck out.” Blue Kyanite also wanted to be included in the group, as it very nicely clears energetic pathways.

As with most grids, there are different components which serve separate functions to complete the greater, complete function. Not only can crystals be used to map out the energies, but also other various items such as Slim Spurling Rings. Here there are two rings overlaid to create a Vesica Pisces. This works to achieve a couple of goals. First, the Vesica design offers an opportunity to analyze each of our sides, masculine and feminine. It then allows us to see our in-between parts, the places where our two sides mesh together. In this situation, with the directional aid of a few Clear Quartz Points, the Vesica is also being used as a figure eight infinity symbol. This creates a constant and balanced flow of energies. Standing with a foot within each side of the Vesica Pisces, the crystal energies follow the programed patterns (Vesica and Infinity) up, throughout, and back down your body and energy field.

 Experiment with logical placements and patterns, and also with intuition and aesthetics. The more beautiful the crystal layout, all the more it will resonate and become beneficial.

Here is the journey process. If you have someone drumming or rattling, start with three sets of four beats (1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4). This is both a send off to initiate and a call back to end the journey. So relax either sitting or lie down. Take three deep breaths and enter into the Lower World entrance, a cave, tree root, or body of water. Follow this path downward until you see a light ahead of you. Approach this light and step into the Lower World.

What do you see, a forest, valley, or another scene? If there is a path, follow it to wherever it leads. Call for a spirit guide to assist you or ask a Power Animal to come forward. Speak to the animal, ask if he is your Power Animal. Do this three times. If he shows himself three times, then this is true. Ask any questions you may have at this time. Thank him. If you are hearing the callback (four beat), begin the return journey and come back into your room. Now write down the journey experience and you are done.

This particular grid is composed of various crystals that can amplify and assist Reiki energy. The goal here is to have an easily accessible ‘station’ where it is possible to receive a quick clearing and boost of energy. In this arrangement there is an area to place each of the hands. This is where the Reiki is transferred from the grid to your person. In the case that you are not attuned to Reiki, it is still possible to utilize this grid concept. Ask your guides, as well as any available Reiki guide, to assist you in activating and directing the desired energy flow. If you already are a Reiki practitioner, use the Distance Healing symbol as well as asking your guides for assistance.

The main crystals included here are Apophylite to increase Reiki flow, Aragonite to ground high vibrational energies, Blue Kyanite to clear and align the body’s meridians, and Clear Quartz to amplify the Reiki and to balance any discordant energies. While there are other stones in this grid (Amethyst, Yellow Calcite, Citrine, Specular Hematite, Lithium and Rutilated Quartz, and Black Tourmaline), the four previously listed are the staples. When gridding, it is most beneficial to “make it your own”. Use stones that you are guided to use, or whichever make the most sense to you at the time.

All parts of this arrangement serve both a separate purpose and are also a part of a larger function. The straight line running from top to bottom signifies the central channel that flows through each of us, connecting to both the Earth and Source. The outer structure of the grid is a circle. The circle creates a sacred space, or Merkabah (where there’s a 2D circle, there is a 3D sphere), in which it is appropriate to place and conducive to the light patterns being crafted. The Large Quartz points are being utilized to direct the flow of Reiki and Crystal energies. The four carved Aventurine Reiki Stones surround the grid and offer both the properties of the stone type and each of the Reiki symbols.

Finally, notice the outward facing tiny Quartz points at each of the four directions. These are simply serving as doorways. When any sort of energetic grid is created, different energies are being gathered and locked into specific desired positions. As beneficial as this appears on the surface, the gridder must not tack the energies down. Rather, through the use of an open path, allow them to flow as freely as they wish, as everything in the Universe has consciousness and the right of free will. The energies are not there to be controlled. This is the foundation of the Interdimensional work we are constantly engaged in. We are to remain laterally cooperative, and should resist taking on hierarchical roles. In the case of this Reiki grid, these gateways allow for the obsolete energies to move out and return to Source, while creating space for the new energies to flow in.

With intention, this grid can provide a variety of uses. The original purpose was to offer a place where Reiki could be received by those in need. As I write, I realize that this grid may also be beneficial for the practitioner. Perhaps it can be used to establish an immediate connection to the Reiki vibration, or maybe a water bowl of sorts to perform a quick cleanse after a session with a client. The possibilities are seemingly endless. The most important part is to remember to have to have fun, and to follow your intuition.
