Each of these areas are accessed through drumming and journeying (with the pertinent questions or needs). One finds that in doing this Medicine Wheel they identify with the feminine in nature. As one experiences the journey one is birthed into new life and clarity.

This is a merkabah grid, designed by Tammy and myself, to help ease this process of change and growth.

Here’s what you’ll need:

(1) Malachite

(6) Unakite

(6) Yellow Calcite

Malachite is the center piece for this layout. Malachite works to ground spiritual energy to the earth. When we are experiencing stress, malachite absorbs negativity while it harmonizes and balances. Also an aid in transformation, it assists in being receptive to insight from your subconscious. From there it is easier to see what is blocking your spiritual growth by getting to the core of the problem.

A Merkabah is an energy field which can be two dimensionally displayed by intersecting two opposite facing equilateral triangles (3-sided pyramids if you are working on three dimensions). A Merkabah is the complete balance of duality, light and dark. There are two complete Merkabahs being utilized as the structure of this grid. The inner-most composed of unakite, while the outer being yellow calcite.

Unakite offers a calm and gentle energy, which is crucial to maintain in your energy field at this time. Much like the malachite in this case, unakite integrates light into the field revealing insights regarding said blockages. It helps to uncover the root cause of any dis-ease and allows it to surface in order for the user to create change and transformation in their life.

Yellow Calcite clears the personal field as well as the environment with the purity and power of our sun. Growth and development are accelerated when using this stone. Using yellow calcite alleviates emotional stress, and connects the emotions with the intellect. When this is achieved, a greater sense of emotional intelligence is attainable. The light in this crystal helps to overcome setbacks, which is what many of us may perceive to be happening with these life changes. Then we may understand that set backs are really stepping stones for another reality.

The entire earth is currently experiencing these shifts, so I highly suggest the use of this grid in efforts to better the ability to flow in these times of great change. While a grid is ideal because it will work with an entire space, it would be advisable to at least carry this three-stone combination in your pocket or medicine bag. Most of all, remember that life is beautiful. Even the bumpy parts serve a beautiful divine purpose.

The third eye may be activated by using iolite.  It facilitates intuition and insight.  This occurs exceptionally well when all chakras are in balance.  Other stones that open this chakra are as follows:

Amazonite:  assist in filtering harmful emf’s and other information which can distort intuitive activity.

Ametrine:  assists in divination activity.

Azurite:  cleanses and stimulates the third eye toward spiritual attunement, and psychic & intuitive development.

Celestites:  Opens one to the universal connection to all things.  Place on third eye during meditation to help one this connection.

Lapis lazuli:  enhances dream work and psychic ability.

Lepidolite:  assists by activating third eye, heart, and crown chakras.

Apophylite:  helps to gently open the third eye. This can be done by lying down and placing it on the chakra area for about ten minutes at a time.

Red Tourmaline: clears energetic blockages in the third eye.

LeRoy Oaks Forest Preserve is one of these environments. At this preserve the diversity of wild life and scenic beauty is as just as fantastic as the various energies that create the harmonious and invigorating atmosphere. For this Blue Papaya exploration, we had an intention to visit the transformation trees that stand close to the river of the park. As we often experience, the universe had us learning from more than just the two trees we’d intended to visit.

Our first point of observation that night was a tree not far from where we had held our circle to center our energy and ask the park Deva’s to assist us in our excursion. What started with one observation of a face in the tree quickly became the discovery of many. While some were not as easy to discern as others, we spent many minutes admiring the energies of the tree, as others in the group found even more.

Throughout the evening we were presented with different aspects of tree spirit. From the guardian tree who lives at top of the hill that leads to the transformation trees keeping watch from every angle to the fairies flying over water in the base of a tree that reaches out over the river. It seemed as though the Deva’s were working to help us learn more about tree spirits.

The transformation trees had been struck by lightning. The energy that forms between these trees essentially work to release old and unnecessary emotion, or situations for those who journey between them. To some, this energy is viewable, appearing much like the film of a bubble made from soap and water. To others it may appear more as an energy or color, and for other still, it may look like a grid that is different from the grids surround it.

We all took turns walking through the trees slowly and peacefully. In previous visits some were able to capture orbs over the heads of individuals passing through the trees. This year it was more about energy columns moving out from the crown chakra. Some, who focused on the individuals passing between the trees, saw color, wings, or even heard the sound of electricity crackling.  Another saw the “film” between the trees shift in color as each person journeyed through.

This is always a powerful evening for those attending. A sense of happiness and peace, or invigoration occurs after this experience. We felt so great that it was decided we should  do something more to spread this energy. We stood in a circle around the two trees, and concentrated on visualizing positive energy connecting to earth. We did this twice, and as we did, green men began to present themselves in the transformation trees.  Strong and proud, many different types made themselves known, their personalities distinct, their energy charming.

Our next gathering will be at a forest preserve that is new to our group, and the Deva’s of that area will have new experiences for us to marvel at, and to educate the group. The beauty of our outdoor explorations is that no evening is quite the same, and by the end of the summer the youth and parents who participate grow dramatically. The excitement and joy of the youth is worth every minute of our time spent organizing, planning and executing our gatherings. The consciousness of change is descending into the gross physical level of our earth. All of us with metaphysical background have known for decades that this time would be coming – this time leading into the vaunted 2012 when our earth would be entering a new period of consciousness, one in which we would have the choice to be more aware, in terms of consciousness, or be “left behind.”

None of us knew what this world would be like, except in theory. Well, the time is upon us and we are the ones being given the choice for all of time following, on earth, of how our civilization shall develop. No one is unaffected by today’s energy shifts, although we may get brief respites. My colleagues who are respected, established teachers and practitioners are experiencing the stress of these global changes as much as everyone else.

Consciousness is the key to staying on top of all these changes. Individually, each of us has to keep going back and redoing our own personal consciousness: who we are, how we fit into the world around us. In this profound time of change, this means constantly re-centering ourselves, then locating how to move out into the world we have established around ourselves. We must stay aware, because very often the rules of the game change as the world continually changes around us.

We also have to develop our ability to see and act on multiple planes of consciousness simultaneously. Our technology that we have built can do this, and now the complexity of our personal existences require our often changing perspective as we move through the demands of our everyday lives.

Most of us reading this blog are aware that we have inner assistance, from guides and protectors. We used to have the luxury to retreat into meditation or prayer, and peacefully commune with these inner worlds. It is, today, imperative to receive help while in action. When we have to make serious decisions on the spot, we need to be able to check in with our team, simultaneously discuss the issue with them and receive a “team” answer for immediate action in the physical world.

Listening to the inner team, which is supplying you with the knowledge of how subtle energy is moving around prior to entering physical form, is essential. But you have to be able to adjust to the different energy signatures or frequencies of your team very quickly, and that is hard while you are acting in the world. This is why this time is known as the period when spirituality is moving out of the ashrams and convents and into the world. Before, it was enough to be spiritual in seclusion; now it is essential to be spiritual while in action.

How can you turn these necessities into realities? Start practicing connecting to spirit while in action. Clean up your personal life: clean your living and working areas, clean up your eating habits, clean up what you choose to do for recreation. As you do this, keep thinking “How can I let the supporting energies of the universe move through this area of my life, and into my everyday world?”

Bit by bit, you will transform yourself into a conduit for your own higher self, your own inner team, and the higher energies of the universe, to dwell inside yourself. These energies radiate out from you, creating an aura of protection and of light that assists you – and everyone you come in contact with. You become that beacon of light that spreads, as light does, first for yourself, then your community, and then your world.

But it all starts with you…

Recently, I have contemplated canceling the vision quest because of other issues which have come about. As I connect to the Divine Feminine, the Mother energy, or Earth Mother, if you would, through the wheel, I have been surprised at the freedom and wisdom that has come through for me. Many people who know me probably hesitate to speak of crystals and gemstones because they know it opens a floodgate. I love to talk about my mineral relatives. The same effect occurs when the Mother or Goddess energy comes up.

Many times, as I have worked with this energy, I have been surprised with the ease in which things occur. Now that I seem more focused in this area, that situation recurs more frequently. I have come to realize that the vision quest may not be necessary as it has already brought me closer to the energy of the Divine Feminine, not having to figure out which Goddess to connect to as the Feminine energy is one.

Recently I purchased two books, then immediately began questioning why (they were Goddess books). Looking at the gauges on my cars’ dash, I was surprised to see that the gas gauge read empty. I thought that I had more than that, but not taking any chances I turned into a gas station and stopped at the only pump available. Before going in to pay for a tank of gas, I looked for the pump number. It was number 13. Now 13 is the number associated with Goddess, so I immediately realized I was supposed to get these books.

There are perhaps many ways to connect with the feminine energies. Here are a couple.

  a. Define a circle at least six feet in diameter. Also pinpoint the exact center of this circle.

     b. Stand at the center facing east (or any direction you choose). Center and focus on being in this space.

     c. Begin walking in a spiral path until you reach the edge of the six foot circle. What energies have you felt as you traversed this pathway? What are you feeling now that you are at the edge of this circle?

     d. Move to the directions east, south, west, north. Ask questions at each direction. What is the response of Goddess?

     e. Turn back to the center and acknowledge and thank Goddess for her response.
