I have been with the crew for about five years, give or take, and I would like to share my experiences. We obviously have all grown over the years here, and many things have happened to each of us. So, even though it is a personal experience, I choose to say “We” because I believe it to be a shared by all the Crystal Life Technology group.

 As we have worked together, there has been a sharing and a trusting of each person’s abilities and desires. The staff has not remained fellow workers, but become a family that is truly interested in each other, within the store as well as what is happening outside in our personal lives. We laugh at ourselves and with each other, perhaps sometimes seeming to put the other down. We, however, know and show respect to where each one is on his or her path, hopefully coming across as supportive.

So yes, I feel we are a family and I trust that each of our guests feel the same when they walk through our door.

We (I) have seen many of you walk in slightly stressed, disturbed, or just looking for something, but not knowing what. The staff has greeted you, inquired if assistance was needed and/or moved out of the way to allow you to find what you need.

Many have come in for the first time just to look around to see what we have, and very few (counting on one hand) have left dissatisfied. We ourselves, having been stressed to our limits, have entered the store, and after a few minutes or having worked the day shift, have left in a totally different frame of mind from when we came in. We may be tired at the end of the day, but we are energized by the fact that you, our guest, have satisfied yourselves with the uplifting Crystal Life “Buzz”. So many of you have stated, “I walked into the store and was immediately uplifted. The energy in the store is great. The service is great, and I really do not want to leave.”

Again, let me stress that I am not simply writing this to promote the store. I am expressing my experience here, not only of myself, but of your response as well. I sometimes find myself to be “Mr. Motor Mouth,” but am truly interested that you are able to have your personal needs fulfilled in whatever way is necessary. The fact that you keep returning to Crystal Life, time after time, tells us that we are serving a true purpose in this community and beyond.

We will be waiting to see you again.

When you are using a pendulum you are attempting to connect with answers to your questions. Those answers are then tapped into. This particular Quartz piece acts in the same way. Your answers will come from the past, present, or future. So if you are studying anything, this is a tool to help you reach the desired goal. I have seen several in the Crystal Life store in the past, perhaps they are waiting for you.

Start by giving thanks – for all of your experiences of the week, positive and negative (both provide valuable lessons) – and then release any negativity. Next, make a cup of tea, sit in a quiet place, sip it slowly, and gently quiet your mind. Then take a nice, tranquil salt bath (use one of the organic salts such as kosher, Dead Sea or Himalayan) to cleanse any negativity that may be attached. The warm salt water also relaxes your body, and helps prepare you for meditation. After the bath, put on some comfortable clothes. If it is possible, try to make sure there are no distractions, so that you have a serene environment. Now you are ready to select your crystals.

When choosing crystals, use your intuition, or if you would prefer, base your choice on your needs. For example, if it has been an emotional week, Rose Quartz is good for self-love, Blue Lace Agate is good for calming and relaxing, and Citrine is good for cleansing and energizing. No matter what technique you use to select your stones – intuition, dowsing, seeing what pulses out towards you, reading the qualities of the stone in a stone book – be confident that you will always choose what is best for you. Once you have selected your crystals, begin your meditation.

When you begin the meditation, you may elect to sit, or lie down, whichever is most comfortable. At this time, you set the intentions for your meditation. For example: “I am a gentle soul; please fill me with love, peace, and harmony.” Inhale deep through your nose, and exhale through your mouth; do this 3 to 4 times. As you inhale, imagine a beautiful cleansing white light purifying all of your thoughts and emotions. As you exhale, imagine your angels taking any negative thoughts or emotions up to heaven for cleansing. Just let yourself relax, and let your thoughts flow. It is okay to fall asleep; if dreams occur, or if there are any messages, record them for future reference. At the end of the “Spiritual Spa Day,” it is wonderful to feel re-energized and prepared for the new week.

Often used interchangeably, the items included under the title “crystal healing” do differ technically. A basic definition: mineral is the most inclusive term; some minerals are beautiful and precious so are called gemstones. Some but not all gemstones are composed of a chemical substance whose molecules are arranged in a regular geometric pattern which makes them a crystal. In addition, there are organic non-mineral substances informally included in the category of “crystal healing.” These include lapis lazuli, amber, jet and petrified materials such as wood, bone, sea creatures and plants.

Crystal healing is a subtle energy discipline. Its base is the knowledge that crystals, gemstones and minerals have special properties that can assist humans to maintain health and balance in their lives. There are hundreds of crystal healing products available for you to use, on the Crystal Life website. Most items there will have links leading you to other areas of the site with even more options for your use. Not all past lives are called upon easily. Many of us have interests, or favorite moments in history that are a part of our soul’s past lives. Many of the interests and/or phases as a  youth and as an adult  are really something we have identified with strongly in our past, and/or something from a past life that we need to tap into in this lifetime.

As discussed in a previous blog, from an early age all of us are able to able to tap into past lives with distinct clarity, that eventually recedes as we move further into maturity and into a society that does not support the possibility of reincarnation.  However, those memories don’t leave us entirely, they are a part of the complex energy of our existence.  Sometimes they surface as fascinations with cultures, a type of employment, events in history, even the appreciation and thirst for knowledge of a particular god or goddess.

As a parent, these are exciting opportunities for you and your child to delve into – an adventure full of discovery, realization and connection. Best of all, they’re opportunities to create and strengthen bonds and deepen the trust between you and your child. Whether you’re visiting museums, the library, watching documentaries, pouring over books or planning vacations around a particular interest, make sure you’re asking open ended questions of your child. Make your communication very clear, thoughtful and elementary – then let them take the lead; you may be quite amazed by their insights and rational.

Be advised, these fascinations may come and go as is needed to the soul’s awakening. For others, they may be a life long interest that turns into a career. No matter what, these explorations and immersions into the past are allowing people to move forward to a destiny in this lifetime that is important to the soul’s growth. Perhaps they’re completing a lesson from the past that they weren’t able to master, or perhaps they did master the lesson and are having a bit of a refresher before they take that knowledge to help our world.

One lovely Indigo friend has always had a fascination with the Titanic and the last Czar of Russia. Every book available on these topics were devoured as they became available, and she even considered becoming an underwater archaeologist at one time because she wanted to find the Titanic. As we know, Bob Ballard discovered where the Titanic went down, and today we are still learning about that fateful night when so many tragically and unnecessarily perished. The remains of the Romanov family were identified and laid to rest in 1998, their last days revealed as brutal with no survivors.

For a time my Indigo friend wondered if these fascinations had a connection to living one of those experiences first hand, but she learned one mustn’t jump to such obvious conclusions. Once she set upon a path of discovery of her past lives, she found that she really was a very young girl living in the South and ailing with polio when these tragedies occurred: thirst of wanting the truth of what truly happened from that lifetime had bled into this life. A very simple answer, as she passed not long after these events in the 20th century and the answers were found in this lifetime.

Some old souls are arriving centuries, even millennia after their last embodiment on this planet. One major change in that time is our religion. For thousands of years the goddess energy was the main religion for everyone, and now most of our cultures worship a masculine energy. Some parents are finding that their children wish to hold tight to that past religion, either by studying up on those ways of worship and how that religion played into daily existence, while others find their child needs to have a representation of that female energy with them (a pendant, bracelet) or represented in their personal space, such as their bedroom, with a statue or a painting. This, too, should be allowed to flow and allowed full discovery. This past remembrance may make life here more comfortable, and ground them more into this time. It may stay or it may fade away, but it is a great lesson for all involved in tolerance and acceptance. The spiritual path each individual decides to take while on this planet is very unique, and should be respected.

Take joy and interest in your child’s unconscious memories, flow with their lessons easily, and share the same type of memories with them. Keeping an open mind will allow them to live with more sure footing and relief.  After all, we’re all here to learn from one another, no matter what our age.

Blue Papaya’s next gathering will be February 24 at The Hart Center for Alternative Therapy-127 S. Second Street, Geneva, IL.  This gathering was originally to be held the 17th, but was moved to a conflict with the Hart Center.

Being the president of the USA is a very, very difficult job and we should be offering that human being – human like us – our gratitude for the good things he has managed to get done during his term in office. If we want the world to respect our country and our democratic ability to assert our free will to elect responsible leaders, we should demonstrate respect for our elected leader. Like him or not, whether you voted for him or not, our free will system means we have the right to disagree but also the obligation to respect and be grateful to those who would lead us with dignity and the wish to cooperate. Here are some of the good things about our current President, for which we can offer gratitude:

Many years ago I subscribed to Murphy’s Law which states if anything is going to happen it’s going to happen to me, and you know it usually did and it was because I brought that energy in.

Many times today we find ourselves between the rock and the hard place and our comment is usually “Not again.” It just seems to happen time, and time again. That situation does not have to continue. You can change that thought or energy pattern to one that is more positive.

Stones that would assist you in the re-patterning and the reframing process are:

1. Desert Rose which assists in bringing you to your center. Often times those recurring events throw us off balance and we lose direction. This stone puts us on a firm ground giving us clear insight to the situation dissolving those issues that are not working. Then it brings in a positive energy to begin a new direction.

2. Picture Jasper would assist in giving you the “Bigger Picture,” where in the meditation process you would have a better understanding of those recurring events. You may find them to be ancestral, past life, karmic in nature, or an engrained belief system.

3. Selenite will work with your higher consciousness and assist in an Akashic Record understanding of the situation and how to clear it.

These stones then will assist in the re-patterning/reframing process. They will not do it of their own volition, you are required to do your part.

Here is a paraphrased story that I would like to share with you.

There was a man who considered his life a failure and so he went to God in prayer. “God,” he said, “I desperately need help, I have no job. I am hungry. I have no companion to share my life with, can you help me?” Not long after, the man went to God again in prayer. Pleadingly he said “God, where have you been, I can’t go on anymore.”

He was surprised when God responded. “I was there when you were on the street, sign in hand, stating ‘Will work for food.’  A woman stopped to offer you a job and food. Why did you reject her offer?”

Gods point being I answered your prayer, but you rejected it.

Another avenue of re-patterning and reframing is to go back to the originating incident. Several ways to do this are as follows:

1. In Hypnosis you are directed back to the incident by which you re-frame the incident in a different light. This successfully erases the past recurring situation.

2. The Shamanic Journey is done with drums, it leads you back to the incident where you can re-pattern/reframe the outcome of it to a more positive one.

3. Hawaiian Huna has a process of leading you down a timeline to the originating incident. As you travel the timeline and stand over the incident you may go down into it. While there you ask questions like “What is it about?” and, “What is the lesson?” Next you come up out of that space and travel farther past it. Turn around and look back down the timeline. If you do not see the energy of the event it has been cleared. If you see its’ energy, go back down into it again. Repeat the process, and see that it is cleared.

There are other ways to do this, these are simply just a few of them.

Quantum Physics suggest that all things operate on a wave frequency. So imagine a roller coaster if you will, one that rises above the earth and after reaching the highest point, it curves back to the Earth moving to its lowest point before arching upward to meet the Earth’s surface and moving upward again.

These waves would vary in length and height. The thing to remember is that when the wave stops, the point when it goes below the horizon is the focal point. Where the wave ends and begins is a space where things can be changed. So in meditation, one would resonate with the wave pattern, and at the horizon point state clearly what you want or desire to change.

This is a very rare crystal formation, and although Crystal Life has a great many natural quartz crystals, I have only seen two Quantum Quartz over the many years I have been at the store.

When my teen-age son moved to California – his first lengthy stay away from the family – I was very concerned. Not only was he 2000 miles away from home, he was nowhere near any of our family. My personal solution? I did a lot of praying, seeking for a way to protect him. I said prayers of protection every night, and I took a photograph of him and placed it in a crystal grid.

To begin this technique, I prayed and set my intentions for his highest and greatest good. It is very important to have your child’s best interest at hand, not your own. I chose the crystals that came forward, pulsating with the energy to protect him, and I put them around his photograph. The crystals that I chose were: Apophyllite, Blue Lace Agate, Celestite, Galena, Garnet, Howlite, Jet, Moonstone, and Rose Quartz. Please keep in mind that these stones came forward specifically to meet his needs, to protect him.

I have learned that sometimes it is better to let your intuition choose the crystals, rather than using a book to pick them out. I chose crystals who energetically came forward in answer to my prayers. Afterwards, I researched the attributes of the crystals using “The Crystal Bible,” and was astounded at the accuracy. Letting go of your own control, and trusting in your higher power, is an amazing lesson.
