| Dowsing is the science of locating anything that exists in the universe. It is also a frequency science; using dowsing techniques and tools, a dowser can often change the energy of a situation, thus changing its manifestation.
You can use most anything to dowse. A bolt on a piece of string works well, even something as simple as rubbing your fingers together (if they stick, the answer is "yes", if they slide the answer is "no"). However, tool preferences can affect dowsing results.
People working with energy adjustments frequently prefer stone, which is warm and responsive. Those seeking water, treasure, minerals and other "hard science" objects generally choose metal, specifically brass. People who use the French/Egyptian approach to dowsing, which is frequency-based, use different shapes and sizes that relate to specific types of energy. This technique allows them to locate and shift frequency more easily. Rods are preferred by dowsers working outdoors, on location. Some folks testing auras of humans and other life forms also prefer rods.
In this department we offer a variety of dowsing tools. Where a pendulum has a specific function, we have noted it. There are also many articles and papers on dowsing in our Library, including a free download of a popular dowsing manual.
